Din Type Specimen Book

For this assignment I was tasked with creating a specimen book to showcase the typeface DIN. I studied the intricacies of the individual letter forms and developed a system to connect similar content throughout this multi-page book.

A little fun fact: DIN 1451 was created in the early 1900s for the purpose of labeling railway cars in what is now modern day Germany. DIN was chosen due to it's legibility and uniform quality. This typeface was of particular interest to me because it is one of the main typefaces used for graphics and marketing on the RISD campus.
